Comfortable and ergonomic harness equipped with six attachment points and specifically developed for rope access work.
Compared to GRYPHON, this model is sold equipped with a triangular quick-link and with CHEST ASCENDER+ ventral rope clamp, for maximum ease of use in rope manoeuvres.
This product is a kit that contains the following:
Gryphon
- close-fitting construction and wide lumbar support belt with breathable mesh padding for optimal comfort during prolonged suspensions;
- contoured shoulder straps with shape optimized to avoid neck chafing;
- shoulder strap equipped with quick-release buckle;
- leg-loop quick-release buckles with indicator for correct insertion;
- leg-loops designed with targeted panel construction to ensure optimal comfort while in suspension by relieving pressure in the groin area;
- adjustable rear straps that allow the leg loops to be moved along the legs;
- large EN 361 sternal attachment point to facilitate rescue operations;
- EN 358 lateral attachment points with two positions: outward-facing when in use (work mode); inward-folded when not in use (stand-by mode) in order not to hamper the operator’s movements;
- EN 361 dorsal attachment point designed to avoid accidentally getting snagged, especially while working in confined spaces;
- attachment point on the rear of the waistbelt, marked by the letter R and exclusively intended for the connection of a restraint lanyard;
- dedicated loop for quick-link, to be used for the addition of a ventral rope clamp in combination with appropriate straps;
- two horizontal straps positioned on the shoulder straps and exclusively intended for the insertion of hook rest support
- two dedicated loops for the connection of a work-positioning seat;
- four large gear-loops, six loops for the tool-holder pouch and four slots for carrying-tools carabiners;
- maximum load: 140 kg.
Chest Ascender+: Light alloy right-hand chest ascender for climbing up ropes, to use together with the ascender handle Quick'Up+
- external profile for the opening lever, which makes climbing up the rope smoother and more effective;
- shape for the hole in the opening lever, to facilitate use even when wearing gloves;
- lower hole design, so that the device always stays parallel to the user;
- patented system for unlocking the cam, with just one downwards movement necessary;
- steel cam, manufactured with technology that implements the resistance to wear and tear. Equipped with a set of teeth that protects the wear of the rope, but it is equally effective in blocking and ascending the rope. It also has three slots to prevent the accumulation of mud and reduce the effort needed to slide the device up the rope under any condition (muddy rope, frozen etc.);
- anti-inversion cam system.
Q-Link D S-Steel 07: Stainless steel quick link, triangular shaped Ø 7 mm, extremely resistant to corrosion and ideal for maritime environments.
- Designed to withstand high loads on all axes.
- Ideal as a closing loop of the two attachment points of the harness for work at height.
- When closed with a wrench, it becomes a semi-permanent anchor.
Fixbar: Positioning element used to hold the connector in the correct position when it is inserted into the sewn loop of a sling or in the connection point of a device
- limits the possibility of connector stress along the minor axis;
- installable without the use of tools;
- is not PPE and is not designed to support the weight of the user
